To me, Bethany is the most mysterious character in DA2. She’s the little sister I never had. Always playing the mage, I miss the opportunity to get to know her. In my playthroughs she’s the one my Hawke is closest to. She seems hesitant and careful, so unlike Carver. I like Carver too, but my Hawke and Carver never reach an understanding like I feel my Hawke does with Bethany. There’s always this gap, constantly growing wider with things going unsaid.

It’s sort of strange. I know very little of Bethany yet… I always miss her through my entire playthrough. I hate that I’m not able to save her, and I wonder: How different would her fate be, had I chosen a different path?

Whenever I hear this music, I always think of Kasumi, and I imagine her flitting in and out of the crowd at Donovan Hock’s party. Always keeping out of sight, only allowing us a tiny glimpse of her here and there. And this is the perfect way of describing her. Playful, mysterious and she never reveals her tricks. After all she is a master thief.

One of my absolute favorite characters in Mass Effect is Liara. And the reason is the relationship between her and Shephard, not a romantic one (I could honestly never do that), but the friendship. This scene… It’s so heart-wrenching. This is the first scene where you actually see these characters, that you’ve gotten to know so well, really talk about what they are facing, their regrets and the way the conversation ends with how Liara wrote Shephard’s name in the stars. It’s bittersweet and it’s beautiful.

A/N: Shepard always thought he’d be the first to go. The story of John and Kaidan’s life together, all based around that one gift Kaidan bought so long ago.

Sequel thingy to this but can be read as a stand alone story too.

(if there are any weird shifts from past tense to present tense (or the other way around) I apologize, when editing this I realized the writing was very odd at places and I had to re-write them entirely)

A relationship isn’t about the gifts. You’re not in it for pretty birthday presents and anniversary dinners at fancy restaurants, but sometimes a gift matters despite that.

This one time Kaidan got Shepard a teddy bear. It was mostly a joke, something to get him through the time at the hospital.

Grown men don’t play with teddy bears, and Shepard wasn’t a toy kind of guy anyway. He named the bear Whiskey though - because apparently giving these inanimate objects names was a thing - and once he was allowed to leave the hospital he put Whiskey in his bag next to the underwear.

Kaidan never asked about the name, but there was a smile on his lips when Shepard unpacked and placed the bear on the bedside table.

“Do you want me to call it a ‘bear replica’?”

Back then John was still in recovery, confined to a wheelchair and taking all kinds of meds, but he was still strong enough to throw a pillow at that teasing grin.

So I just completed Bioshock (which is a great feat in itself since these kind of games freak me the f#&k out) and I was so happy for the little sisters!!! *sobs* The world of Rapture really drew me in. Once a beautiful city, but now a dystopia. It was so sad, but at the same time I had this morbid fascination that kept me going. I just need to gush because I love the atmosphere, the art deco style of it and the little pieces of all these peoples’ stories that you need to put together.
